Pictures and Projects

The High School Curriculum starts with Beginning Woodshop. Students are introduced to a wide range of portable and stationary woodworking power tools as they complete increasingly challenging projects. The required projects are a handsome peg shelf, a pine box with tray insert and hinged lid, and a simple plywood “push shoe” to use with the table saw. Students learn fundamental woodworking skills while maintaining a primary focus on safety at all times.

In addition, students who complete assigned projects are encouraged to pursue “side projects” of their own choosing.  Students develop creativity, initiative, problem-solving ability and satisfaction in bringing their own ideas into being. Teamwork is encouraged and students learn to collaborate productively with each other.
